News about ongoing projects in WA including monitoring Marine Environmental Quality Management Plans and contributing to the Living Lakes project.
Our Perth office is continuing to undertake a wide range of programs at Cape Lambert which have been ongoing for 21 months including; coral, macroalgae, mangrove, imposex, oyster biomonitoring, water and sediment quality studies associated with implementation of the port Marine Environmental Quality Management Plan (MEQMP).
We have also commenced work on the Living Lakes project in Western Australia, which is a major government initiative to improve the amenity of three south ‐ west “wheat ‐ belt” lakes. This project is being coordinated by the Department of Regional Development (DRD) with the objective of enhancing existing natural ephemeral lake systems through creative engineering solutions. Hydrobiology is providing aquatic ecology, water quality and lake process/limnological expertise to the development of issued‐for‐construction engineering designs as part of a multi‐disciplinary project team.
