Today is World Ocean Day, a day intrinsically important to Hydrobiology. It is a time to reflect on the significance of our oceans, the challenges ahead, and the global quest to respect, protect and conserve our oceans. With decades of cumulative experience in marine science, Hydrobiology scientists apply a pragmatic, multi-disciplinary approach to solving those tricky resource management scenarios. From the Poles to the equator, there isn’t an ocean our team hasn’t investigated. World Ocean Day 2021 “One Ocean, One Climate, One Future – Together”, has never been more appropriate in the current circumstances. As the 8th of June draws to a close, reflect on what the ocean means to you, we certainly will be, as we undertake our assignments throughout the world’s oceans. Happy World Ocean Day!
