Hydrobiology is excited to be working with Asian Development Bank (ADB) on a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for a renewable energy floating solar project in Bangladesh. The SEA will assist the Government of Bangladesh to understand the potential impacts and risks associated with floating solar projects on waterbodies, their habitat and the species that rely on them. We will aim to identify areas that are the most suitable, based on environmental and ecological constraints and provide some mitigation measures that will minimise environmental impacts. Hydrobiology will also be making recommendations for strengthening the applicable legal/regulatory framework in Bangladesh, to build capacity for future renewables projects in developing countries.
