Today is World Ocean Day, a day intrinsically important to Hydrobiology, as it is a time to raise awareness of the vital importance of our oceans and the role they play in sustaining a healthy planet. It is a a day of global celebration, and a day to reflect on the significance of our oceans, the challenges ahead, and the global quest to respect, protect and conserve our oceans.
With decades of cumulative experience in marine science, Hydrobiology’s specialist teams apply a pragmatic, multi-disciplinary approach to solving those tricky resource management scenarios, all while out on the water! (Just take a look at one of our field teams below, having a ‘whale of a time’.. ‘tackling’ some of those challenging seas!) From the Poles to the equator, there just isn’t an ocean we haven’t investigated!
In honouring the United Nations World Oceans Day 2023 theme; ‘Planet Ocean: Tides are Changing’, we at Hydrobiology believe this day has never been more appropriate in the current circumstances, as we continue to undertake our fieldwork throughout the world’s most captivating oceans!
