Hydrobiology were invited by The University of Western Australia to their “Meet the Industry: Health and Science” Pop-Up event. It was great to hear stories from the next generation of scientists and give them an insight into the work we do!
The event was coordinated by our Health and Safety Lead Elisa Fuentes, who explained the steps early career scientists should take when transitioning from academia to industry and applying for jobs. Oceanographer Christine Hanson shared her experience from a career of ground-breaking research and environmental consultancy. Marine Ecologist James Keating spoke about the challenges we face for offshore renewables, and our Graduate Scientist Keisha Desmond was able to share her journey as an early career scientist in consulting.
