Hydrobiology is proud to announce our very own Matthew Germs as a finalist in the Emerging Talent Award at the 2024 Subsea Business Awards. Matt works with the Hydrobiology marine team in Perth and within our ESG working group. Matt contributes to a wide range of projects in offshore renewables, oil and gas, CCS, mining, ports and utilities and most recently completed his commercial drone training. Matt brings creativity to each project, and is pushing boundaries to tackle emerging issues in innovative ways.
Matt represents Hydrobiology as a Young Professional with the Energy Club WA and is an active member of Subsea Energy Australia, PIANC Australia & New Zealand and the Australian Marine Sciences Association. Outside of his profession, Matt is a ruckman with Swan Districts Football Club, playing a pivotal role in his team bringing home the WAFL Reserves Premiership at Optus Stadium in 2023.
