Following an intensive audit, Hydrobiology is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) from the Flight Safety Foundation. This covers our Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems operations (RPAS/drones). BARS is an International Aviation Safety Program, based on a suite of risk-based aviation standards that are measured during annual audits.
This is a self-nominated standard which follows the award of our CASA Remotely piloted aircraft operator’s certificate in April 2023. BARS Member Organisations include major global resource companies who we are proud to already work with, and many we are ready to support with their aquatic and terrestrial environmental challenges. By meeting these standards, we can continue to provide our clients with our industry leading scientific outputs within an international safety standard that exceeds currently legislated requirements.
