Dr Andy Markham recently completed fieldwork in Mongolia on behalf of the Asian Development Bank for a major renewable energy development. Andy was accompanied by national ecology experts and environmental and social safeguards specialists to collect biodiversity and geomorphological data to evaluate the potential impact of the development on the region’s ecosystems.
Andy’s work exemplifies the importance of informed decision-making and sustainable practices when balancing renewable energy development with environmental preservation, achieved through the application of Good International Practice guidance.
