What you’ll do
As the Team Manager – Inland Waters, you’ll work closely with the Director and the Regional Manager to guide and support a multidisciplinary team. You’ll create an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to deliver their best.
Your day-to-day will include:
● Supporting, coaching, and developing scientists across all levels.
● Managing in collaboration the delivery of high-quality environmental and ecological projects.
● Overseeing budgets, timelines, proposals, and scientific reporting.
● Building strong, long-term relationships with clients through authentic collaboration.
● Contributing to the strategic direction of the Inland Waters team in WA and nationally.
● Occasionally supporting fieldwork activities and ensuring safety and well-being in remote environments.
What you’ll bring

● Highly experienced in Inland Waters science and in consultancy (WA experience ideal).
● Our preference, a strong technical foundation in aquatic or environmental sciences.
● A leadership style that’s empathetic, empowering, and people focused.
● Proven project management experience and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
● Excellent client relationship and communication skills – people first.
● Knowledge of WA and national environmental legislation (EP Act, EPBC Act, Mining Act).
● A genuine passion for mentoring, learning, and continuous improvement.
