Hydrobiology’s Justin Cutajar (Principal Scientist) along with our Ecology and Biodiversity Management (EBM) Team of specialists, was pleased to assist Aquamonix on a recent project, whom recently designed and installed a new weir as a control to provide a stable discharge rating at a new stream gauging station in Central Queensland.
The data from this station will be used in conjunction with an automatic sampler to determine PFAS loads in the runoff during and following rain events.
Accurate data from this station will enable better environmental management and protection strategies ultimately safeguarding our ecosystems and public health from the adverse effects of these persistent pollutants.
