We’re proud to share that Hydrobiology recently attended the 11th Australian Stream Management Conference in Victor Harbour, South Australia. The event, organized by the RBMS (River Basin Management Society), revolved around the theme of Interweaving Water Knowledge.
Our team members made significant contributions:
🎤 Ben Pearson discussed Battling with Rigid Planning Frameworks, using geomorphology and the Room for the River concepts to advocate for more adaptive and resilient approaches in waterway management. Ben Pearson, as a key member of the organizing committee, played a pivotal role in shaping the program and ensuring the conference’s success.
🎤 Chamantha Athapaththu presented on Headwater Streams Restoration: “Two Creek Systems Are Not the Same!”, highlighting the unique challenges and solutions in restoring headwater streams.
It was an incredible opportunity to engage with fellow experts and share our knowledge on sustainable waterway management practices (Interweaving Water Knowledge). Looking forward to more such collaborations and innovations in the future! 💧
