The future of the Environmental Industry depends on strong connections between education and practice.
Last week, Sam Munger (Waterway Scientist- Land & Water Management), Amanda Sillman (QLD Lead- Business Promotions & Culture) and Amy Reed (Business Administration & Marketing Assistant) from our Hydrobiology Queensland Team attended the “Geography & Environmental Management Society (UQGEMS) Tier 1 Sponsor Feature Night”.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with students who are preparing to shape the future of Environmental Consulting, Ecology and Water Science. Events like these highlight the importance of industry collaboration, knowledge-sharing and mentorship in building a more innovative and sustainable sector.
The Team also enjoyed the insightful case study presentation that was delivered, which sparked valuable discussions around real-world project delivery and interdisciplinary collaboration.
A big thank you to the UQGEMS Executive Team for organising such a valuable event and creating opportunities for students and industry professionals to connect. Hydrobiology is proud to support emerging environmental scientists and help strengthen pathways into the industry.
